Head Coach: Trent Robinson

Starting 13: Tedesco, Tupou, Mitchell, Manu, Ikuvalu, Keary, Cronk, Waerea-Hargreaves, Radley, Taukeiaho, Cordner, Aubusson, Liu – Interchanges: Collins, Tetevano, Faamausili, Crichton – Reserves: Butcher, Tupouniua, Verrills, Lam

Sydney Roosters came to life in the final quarter of the game as they scored 18 unanswered points to see off Parramatta Eels last week in what turned out to be a fairly comfortable win for the reigning Premiers.

Despite having been named in the line-up for the game against the Eels, Cooper Cronk was again ruled out with a hamstring injury but looks set to return this week with Latrell Mitchell reverting back to the centres.

Jake Friend is out again with a shoulder issue, so Victor Radley turns out at hooker whilst Mitchell Aubusson moves to the back-row which in turn sees Angus Crichton revert back to the bench, where Lindsay Collins is also named.

Head Coach: Anthony Seibold

Starting 13: Boyd, Oates, Staggs, Bird, Isaako, Milford, Nikorima, Lodge, McCullough, Ofahengaue, Glenn, Gillett, Pangai Jnr. – Interchanges: Shibasaki, Su’A, Flegler, Fifita – Reserves: Carrigan, Fensom, Perese, Kennar

Unavailable: Payne Haas, James Roberts

Brisbane couldn’t back up their solid display in the Queensland derby as they suffered a disappointing loss to St. George with Corey Norman’s last-gasp drop goal condemning the Broncos to defeat.

Matt Lodge has been named as a starting prop having served the two-match ban picked up in the opening match of the season which sees Tevita Pangai Jnr. revert to lock and David Fifita to be bench.

James Roberts has been ruled out with an Achilles injury so Kotoni Staggs comes into the centres to replace him whilst Shaun Fensom drops out of the 17 and is replaced by Gehamat Shibasaki.

Sydney Roosters secured an important win against Parramatta despite having a makeshift halfback pairing once again but should welcome back Cooper Cronk this week. They host the Broncos who have made several changes to their side after they lost at home to the Dragons. The Roosters will be looking for a better overall performance this week and Cronk should help that along against a Broncos side that look like they will struggle for consistency this year.
